Product Care

CANDLE CARE:

Never move or leave the candle unattended while burning.
Always burn your candle at least until the wax has liquefied to the edge of the jar, this will ensure even burning.

Burn in a draft free area clear of combustible materials such as curtains, books, baskets, dried flowers, etc.
Do not trim wick before burning for the first time. Trim mushrooms that develop, but keep wick 10mm long so candle burns properly.
Trim your natural cotton wicks with a wick trimmer or scissors. Do not use your fingers or you may break off your wick
Always place the candle on or in a non-combustible, heat resistant base on a level stable surface.
Candles should be spaced apart while lit to prevent uneven burning.
Keep the burn pool clean, never throw matches into the candle.
Extremes of heat and cold should be avoided. Do not store the candle in the freezer and never leave them in a hot car.
Keep candles out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
Empty candle containers may be cleaned by washing them in hot soapy water and drying well before re-using.
In order to insure your candle burns out to the edges, be sure that the first burn is long enough to establish the burn pool out to the edge. Because soy wax burns so much cooler than traditional candles, you may need to leave it burning much longer the first time.
Follow the candle burning instructions located on the bottom of your candle or candle con
tainer.

BURNING INCENSE:

Incense cones are sometimes hard to keep lit (especially when the environment is wet and cold). In order to burn, the cones need to be warmed properly.  To combat this problem, light the tip of the cone then place it in an incense burner.  Allow the flame to travel at least half way down the cone before gently blowing it out. The tip of the cone will still be glowing and the body of the cone will be warm so it should now burn perfectly.

Please take care when lighting and burning incense.

TEST YOUR CANDLES:

While we feel strongly that soy candles are a much safer alternative to paraffin candles, we strongly urge you to "test" the candles you buy, making sure they feel healthy, and you do not have any side effects. Anyone can be allergic to anything, including aromatherapy candles.
