Gemstone Meditation Malas

Malas, circular beads strung in a circle, have been used since the dawn of time.
The appeal of a mala is easy to understand - pick up any strand of fine beads and roll them through your fingers. The effect is almost instantly noticeable. You feel the smooth surfaces begin to glide and roll, almost by themselves, and as you begin to explore the strand, your mind calms, your breathing slows, and you focus on the simple act of moving from bead to bead.
This ancient ritual tool has been used by countless people through the ages to help them attain meditative states, relieve stress and worry and provide a concrete tool for counting one's prayers or recitations in their spiritual practice. There are many ways possible to use the malas, and we encourage you to explore the ones which call to you. The most important thing to remember is the intent and love that you have when you are using them.
We make sure that each of our beautiful Malas are supplied with a complimentary natural calico pouch for you to store it in when not in use, along with a small brochure explaining how to use and care for your Mala.

54 Bead "Tears of Shiva" Rudraksha

Finely handcrafted silverplated links join smaller 5mm Rudraksha beads and 6mm mauve pearls, in what must be one of our most inspired malas.  Finished with a large freshwater pearl Guru bead, along with our signature sterling silver Om pendant and a sterling silver clasp.  This wonderful piece was designed to be worn when not in use, and can be strung around the neck as a single necklace or looks fantastic as a double strand choker.
Rudraksha - The bead of the Rudraksha tree holds a very special place in Hinduism, and is credited to possess mystical and divine properties. Necklaces made of Rudraksha beads are considered auspicious as well as powerful, and are supposed to have profound astrological and health benefits.  The smaller the beads, the more difficult they are to harvest and therefore are harder to obtain in sizes under 8mm.
Freshwater Pearls - Wonderful symbol of love, patience and femininity. The pale luminosity represents trapped moonlight. The luster is the reflection of light on the gems layered surface, producing a myriad of light and colour. It is the only gem that grows from a grain of sand to an object of beauty.
